According to reports, pop sensation Taylor Swift gave the family of the Kansas City Chiefs Super Bowl parade shooting victim more than R1.9 million.
Elizabeth Lopez-Galvan, a woman, reportedly lost her life in a shooting during the Kansas City Chiefs’ Super Bowl parade. 22 people were hurt in the mayhem, several of them were youngsters. According to reports, a GoFundMe campaign was created to raise $75,000 for the shooting victim’s family.
Swift’s assistant reportedly told Variety that Taylor was the one who used the GoFundMe campaign to send $100,000 to the victim’s family.
The Grammy record-shattering artist wrote,
“Sending my deepest sympathies and condolences in the wake of your devastating loss. With love Taylor Swift.” She first donated $50,000 and a second $50,000, making it a hundred.
The police indicated that the shooting, which took place on Wednesday, was the consequence of an argument. It was also verified that two minors were included in the group being held. When shots were fired, millions of fans were cheering for the Kansas City Chiefs as they celebrated their third Super Bowl victory.
On Sunday, Taylor attended the games in support of her boyfriend, Travis Kelce. According to reports, the artist is returning to Australia for the Eras Tour.
