Thuli P accepts criticism about her dancing

With the formation of the musical group 2 Faced and her involvement in Slenda Da Dancing DJ, Thuli Phongolo has shrugged off criticism over her dancing.

Thuli P addressed the negative feedback she had recently gotten online following the viral footage of her dancing during Slenda performances in an interview with Durban’s Ukhozi FM.

The 29-year-old DJ added that she had taken note of the criticism and would now allow Slenda to perform live while she assumed a more supporting role.

Thuli P expressed her enjoyment of her cooperation with Slenda and her understanding that everyone has strengths and weaknesses and that dancing is simply not one of them.

“The most important thing when we’re collaborating is not try to mimick each other, because we each bring something to the act.

We have to understand our audience because there are different everywhere we play, whether it’s Johannesburg or Durban.

So, representation is very important in every industry, someone must be able to look at something and know that it’s possible.

I don’t want people to question our professionalism, especially Slenda when it comes to dancing because she’s one of the best, you know what I mean?

At the end of the day, as long as the craft is good, everything else we have to do is have fun and enjoy.”
