Tyla Drops Official Music Video for Viral Hit “Water”

Worldwide music sensation from South Africa, Tyla has unveiled the official music video for her hit song “Water.”

South African singer Tyla Seethal first gained notoriety on the microvideo sharing app TikTok.

She had ventured into the realm of music after finding success on TikTok, releasing “Getting Late” alongside Kooldrink, a fellow artist at the collective Fax.Ny, where all they do is eat. LOL.

She posted a photo of herself among other singers on Instagram before the release of her song “Getting Late” with Kooldrink, asking her followers if they could predict what was coming next.

It turns out that at the time, she was diligently working on the song’s music video.

By the way, she has over 588k followers and over 8 million likes for her videos on TikTok, where she is already verified. Her videos typically receive 100k views each.

Since its July 2023 debut, this infectious track—produced by Grammy-nominated British producer Sammy SoSo—and its peculiar dance techniques have gone viral on social media. Since then, it has gained a staggering 35 million Spotify streams.
